Every year, a pilgrimage of travelers makes the journey, some 200 miles above the Arctic Circle, in hopes of seeing the Aurora Borealis.

Some will be lucky enough to realize what to many is a lifelong dream, that of seeing the northern lights during thier stay. Others will not. In an effort to increase the odds, the owners of Attme Have acquired Aurora Huts for their scenic northern retreat.

Attme Have’s aurora huts are placed to spectacular advantage, one perched on the mountainside and the other right on the fjord. Both sport a panoramic view of the snow-blanketed mountain suround.

Aurora Huts are a type of glamping that ensures the comfort of being cozy and warm, charging your phone, making tea, and the ultimate luxury of utilizing an inside toilet all while being fully enveloped by the panoramic views of the dramatic natural world.

The Aurora Hut’s windowed walls and ceiling bring the beauty of the Arctic into its cozy environs while keeping the frigid temperatures outside. With a sink and mini fridge for snacks, you’re all set to immerse yourself in nature, forget yourself in a book, or dose off in the arctic sun waiting for evening to fall, and fingers crossed, a glimpse at the northern lights.

Our stay was made magical with a stunning arctic sunset and sunrise (we visited between the long weeks of night and the summer months of unsetting sun).

It was because of the aurora hut that we were able to see the Northern lights at all during our visit to Norway so I would recommend this if you possibly can. We were also able to see wildlife that regular walls would have prevented us from observing. This was a truly magical way to be fully inside nature while completely comfortable and cozy.

Attme Have is a picturesque retreat on the fjord, a ferry ride from Tromsø. The lodge-style stay offers a shared kitchen and dining room for guests of both the lodge rooms and the Aurora Huts to make themselves at home during their northern adventures as well as the opportunity for yoga and sauna sessions.
