Dar Justo - Marakech
Dar Justo is a peaceful oasis secreted away down a warren of narrow alleys, in the very heart of the bustling, historic Medina of Morocco’s famed Red City.
This quiet Riad is comprised of several historic structures, incorporating two courtyards, and a glimmering pool. The rooftop hosts a restaurant, lounge, library, and verdant hanging garden. The experience at Dar Justo is excellently complemented by the luxurious convenience of an attached hammam.
When we arrived, still dusty from a trip to the Sahara and back, we collapsed into our poolside suite in relief to refresh before exploring Marakech’s famous Medina.
What we love: plentiful unique spaces that make this truly a home away from home, from generous sitting rooms to a library, from private rooftop nooks to cooling courtyards.
Setting Dar Justo apart are its onsite dining options and adjacent hammam. The Medina is every bit as hectic as it is enchanting and it is nice to stay in and relax when needed.
Dar Justo’s design is airy and bright, while incorporating elements of detailed woodwork, Moroccan tile and verdant greenery into a stunning haven.
Our time at Dar Justo, was marked by the contrast between getting lost on purpose in the Medina until exhausted and the dramatic pleasure of devolving into relaxation at Le Bain Bleu, the luxurious Hammam attached/adjacent to our hotel before a sunset rooftop dinner. Nights were quiet and rejuvinating, with the historic center of Marakech just outside, awaiting the next morning’s adventures.
