Explore Series by Lane Oliveri for Branwyn, : A Travel Friendly Wool Performance Underlayer

As part of an Active Lifestyle Travel series with Branwyn, photographer Lane Oliveri took a road trip in Italy, shooting in the Puglia region. Explore behind the scenes with us;

Lane: “In Puglia we stayed at a traditional family-owned Masseria, (a common term in the region for a farm that is functioning as an Inn), from our home base we explored secret beaches, caves, a crumbling abandoned palazzo and the less private but infamously stunning coastal town, Polignano a Mare.

During our adventures, we discovered a very tiny and weak stray kitten who was somehow separated from his mother. Though we were never able to find his mother, he was adopted into the farm and we helped with the feeding schedule for this needy and sweet little creature while there. The owner of the Masseria still updates us about him.

In proper summer fashion we spent a few days outside of time, subsisting on tomatoes, cheese, crackers, and olives while soaking in the summer sun.

Because the model and I are close friends the images we came away with reflect that utter ease and are comprised of organic moments caught between lengthy contemplative conversations.

The essence of the “Dolce Vita” soaks into these images like the beaming Adriatic sun and I’m so glad we were able to shoot these excerpts in this beautiful southern region of Italy.
